BRINGING ECO-FRIENDLY DEATHCARE TO THE WORLD AS A COMMUNITY
The Global Green Burial Alliance is a network of eco-friendly funeral professionals. The GGBA is a free membership pledge organization. The GGBA’s mission is to promote and provide critical information and education concerning any and all eco-friendly funeral options globally.
Embracing knowledge equals change. A global conversation is needed so ideas and customs can be shared. These ideas, cultural rites, and practices allow for critical growth. By joining, you can help bring better deathcare to the world as a community.
Members can enjoy networking and social media platforms to engage in free discussions between consumers, communities, and funeral professionals. The truth of processes and products, transparency, and respectful engagement and communication are key to enacting positive changes.
The GGBA is building a network of experiences and education free to all who challenge themselves to be a part of this change.

Darien holds a Bachelor of Science in biology, a Bachelor of Technology in funeral services administration, a Master of Science in management, and is currently working on her doctorate in trauma counseling, with a focus on compassion fatigue within funeral service.
Tara York:
Tarak York, CFSP is a first-generation funeral director licensed in Washington, Maine, and New Hampshire. Additionally, she is a Certified Crematory Operator (CCO), and has also served as a Deputy Coroner in Illinois and Kentucky. Having served the death care industry in various capacities over the years, including pre-need cemetery sales and anatomical donation tissue procurement, she believes that there is a strong need for education both within the industry and to the general public. Having trained in advanced trauma repair, Tara has a special love for everything prep room related. With that said, she really enjoyed learning about and being a part of assisting families with the various alternative disposition options that are available in Washington state and seeks to help educate those interested in the options available. Beyond the day-to-day activities that take place in the funeral home, Tara has a special passion for continuing education and enjoys taking and presenting CEU courses and other educational content for aspiring and established death care professionals. She believes that education is important and that as long as we are open minded to such, we can always grow further in our potential!
Jordan Rose:
Jordan L. Rose (she/her) is a licensed funeral director, embalmer, and end-of-life doula living in Chicago, Illinois. Jordan is on a mission to put the rights of individuals at the end of their lives back into their hands. She is vocal about creating inclusive death practices that hold up marginalized voices. When she's not talking about death and dying, she's playing Dungeons and Dragons and waiting for warmth in the Windy City.

In this week's episode, special guests Kate Bagnati and Lisa Sarfaty discuss The Connecticut Death Collective, an educational organization spreading awareness about home funerals, deathcare, and eco-friendly funeral options in Connecticut.
Each month, the Global Green Burial Alliance hosts a free forum with a special panel of eco-friendly funeral experts. Subjects range from funeral practices around the world to the latest eco-friendly funeral technologies. The purpose of this space is to create open conversations between providers and consumers. Everyone is welcome and invited; forums occur second or third Thursday of each month.
