The Global Green Burial Alliance is a network of eco-friendly funeral professionals. The GGBA is a free membership pledge organization. The GGBA’s mission is to promote and provide critical information and education concerning any and all eco-friendly funeral options globally.
Embracing knowledge equals change. A global conversation is needed so ideas and customs can be shared. These ideas, cultural rites, and practices allow for critical growth. By joining, you can help bring better deathcare to the world as a community.
Members can enjoy networking and social media platforms to engage in free discussions between consumers, communities, and funeral professionals. The truth of processes and products, transparency, and respectful engagement and communication are key to enacting positive changes.
The GGBA is building a network of experiences and education free to all who challenge themselves to be a part of this change.

Michelle Puga:
Michelle Puga lives in Cuenca, Ecuador, where she leads Death Talk Cuenca — a community-based initiative that creates space for meaningful conversations around death, dying, and grief. Deeply connected with both the local and expat communities, Michelle helps people navigate these tender topics while living far from home. Michelle is also a co-founder of the Latin American Network for Accompaniment in Dying and Grief, a collaborative platform that unites professionals and practitioners across the region to share knowledge, experiences, and mutual support. Together, they work toward a culturally rooted, heart-centered approach to end-of-life care and bereavement — one that honors the depth, diversity, and sacredness of Latin American traditions.

David Chacón:
Based out of Guatemala City, Guatemala, David Chacón has a diverse professional background in business, art, and aviation. David holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Franklin University in Ohio and has managed the operations and training programs of several international companies. David also holds a DGAC certification and license from the AeroTraining Aviation School, working as an aircraft mechanic. As an artist, David specializes in plastic art, fine art, murals, and tattoos, which can be viewed at his instagram: @darveo. Passionate about the environment, David is looking to bring eco-friendly funeral options to Guatemala!

Wilka Roig:
Wilka Roig, MA, MFA, PLC, holds a Master of Art in Transpersonal Psychology specializing in Creativity and Innovation, and a Master of Fine Arts specializing in Photography. She holds a Professional Dream Worker Certification from the Marin Institute for Projective Dream Work, a Biomagnetism & Biodecoding Therapy Certification from el Centro de Medicina Contemporánea, Level 1 and 2 Psychosynthesis Coaching Certification from the Synthesis Center, Level 1 Degriefing Integrative Grief Therapy Certification, and has trained with Dr. Clarissa Pinkola Estés in Archetypal and Cross-Cultural Psychology for four years, and with Dr. Gabor Maté in Compassionate Inquiry. Wilka apprentices with medicine women in México, where she resides, and trains in Curanderismo and Equine & Nature Therapies. She is an end-of-life doula, grief counselor, educator, facilitator, consultant, and an ordained interfaith minister. Wilka is the founder and president of the Elisabeth Kübler-Ross Foundation branch in Central México, co-founder of Red Latinoamericana de Acompañamiento en la Muerte y el Duelo, deputy director of education of the Elisabeth Kübler-Ross Foundation Global, end-of-life doula educator and International/BIPOC advisor of the International End of Life Doula Association (INELDA), and faculty of the Art of Dying Institute's Integrative Thanatology program. She is member of the Beautiful Dying Advisory Board and the Inner Immersion Advisory Council, and Impact Producer in Latin America for the documentary The Last Ecstatic Days. Wilka is an affiliate of Death Cafe, and administrator of Death Café México.

Verónica Falconi is the CEO of the Life Urns project, serving as the official representative for The Living Urn and Element Urns for Ecuador, Colombia, Chile, and Mexico. With a diverse background in interior design, plastic arts, and health and wellness, Verónica also specializes in healing therapies like aromatherapy and crystal therapy, helping clients open their energetic pathways to elevate individual and collective consciousness. Verónica volunteers for the CAEMBA Project of Fundacíon Raíz Ecuador, providing doula services and grief support, as well as facilitating a Death Café.

Digging Deeper is a place for anyone and everyone to share their stories and experiences with eco-friendly funerals. In this week's episode, we talk with special guest Laura Hayes about her green burial experience. Tune in to learn about how Laura navigated the uncharted waters of grief, death, and dying and how she honored the life of her husband with natural burial.
Each month, the Global Green Burial Alliance hosts a free forum with a special panel of eco-friendly funeral experts. Subjects range from funeral practices around the world to the latest eco-friendly funeral technologies. The purpose of this space is to create open conversations between providers and consumers. Everyone is welcome and invited; forums occur second or third Thursday of each month.
Each month, the Global Green Burial Alliance hosts a monthly livestream with a special guest from the eco-friendly funeral movement as part of its "Ask an Expert" interview series. Hosted by founder Ed Bixby, these 30-minute information sessions allow viewers to receive live answers to any and all questions that they may have about eco-friendly funeral services, options, products, and more.
